Jesper Ryberg is Professor of Ethics and Philosophy of Law, University of Roskilde, Denmark. His recent books include The Ethics of Proportionate Punishment (Springer 2004); The Repugnant Conclusion: Essays on Population Ethics (ed. with T. Tännsjö, Springer 2004); New Waves in Applied Ethics (ed. with T. Petersen, Palgrave Macmillan 2007); Punishing War Crimes, Genocide, and Crimes Against Humanity (ed. Springer, 2010); Punishment and Ethics: New Perspectives (ed. with A. Corlett, Palgrave Macmillan 2010). He has published in philosophical journals such as Philosophical Papers, Theoria, Philosophical Quarterly, Res Pulica, Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, and the Journal of Applied Philosophy.
