BIOGRAPHY:

Ana Rita Goes is a psychologist. She received her Master in Public Health from the New University of Lisbon. She is currently developing her PhD project in the University of Lisbon in the area of preschool children development and behavior adjustment. Ana Rita Goes teaches courses in health psychology to dentistry students, supervises the clinical work of health psychology students, and supervises master thesis in health psychology. She is involved in training professionals in parent education using a family centered approach. She participates in a project for the production and delivery of health information to parents about tackling childhood obesity. Ana Rita Goes co-authored publications in the areas of mental health promotion, parental concerns, children’s beliefs about oral health, and family interventions to promote school achievement. Her main interests are in the areas of early detection of developmental and behavioral problems, effective family interventions for development and behavior adjustment promotion, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, and training professionals in the delivery of family centered approaches for child health, behavior, development and school achievement promotion.
