BIOGRAPHY:

Adam Potts is a Teaching Fellow in Philosophy at Newcastle University. He specialises in 20th-century French philosophy, particularly the work of Blanchot and Bataille, and aesthetics, particularly the philosophy of music and sound studies. He has authored several articles on the relationship between philosophy and noise. He is editor and contributor of the forthcoming collection ‘Sounds of Disaster: Sonic Encounters with Blanchot’ (Angelaki).
