BIOGRAPHY:
John Paul Russo is professor of English and Classics and chair of the Department of Classics at the University of Miami, book review editor and co-editor of Italian Americana, and former editorial board member and current consulting editor of RSA (Rivista di Studi Nord Americani). His books include I.A. Richards: His Life and Work; The Future without a Past: The Humanities in a Technological Society (2006 Bonner Prize); and The Italian in Modernity, cowritten by Robert Casillo. He is the recipient of three Fulbright Fellowships to Italy and has taught at the universities of Palermo, Rome, Genoa, Salerno, and Messina. His Anime di luoghi solitari (Souls of Lonely Places: Late Wanderings in Italy) is forthcoming in Italian from Campanotto.
