Crystal R. Sanders is an Associate Professor of History at Pennsylvania State University. She is the author of of the award-winning A Chance for Change: Head Start and Mississippi's Black Freedom Struggle. Her scholarship can also be found in the Journal of African American History, the Journal of Southern History, and the History of Education Quarterly.
