BIOGRAPHY:

Cynthia G. Falk is Professor at the Cooperstown Graduate Program, a master’s degree program in museum studies sponsored by the State University of New York College at Oneonta. Falk is the author of the books Barns of New York: Rural Architecture of the Empire State (2012) and Architecture and Artifacts of the Pennsylvania Germans: Constructing Identity in Early America (2008). She served as the co-editor of Buildings & Landscapes, the journal of the Vernacular Architecture Forum, from 2012 to 2017 and is Deputy Mayor of the Village of Cooperstown, New York. Falk did her undergraduate work at Penn State University, earned a master’s degree in the Winterthur Program in Early American Culture, and completed her Ph.D. in American Civilization at the University of Delaware.
