BIOGRAPHY:

Guo Qinhua is Professor of Asian Architecture at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She received her bachelor degree in architecture from Harbin University of Technology, China, and her doctorate from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. She is the author of the Structure of Chinese Timber Architecture (1999), A Visual Dictionary of Chinese Architecture (2002), Chinese Architecture and Planning (2005), the Mingqi Pottery Buildings of Han Dynasty China (2010), and Unseen Details of Chinese Vernacular weiwu at Dafuzhen (2016). Her expertise is design methods, structural types and building techniques that span Chinese history. Her research interest is the developmental history of Chinese architecture in Euro-Asia contexts.
