BIOGRAPHY:

Olena Betlii is Associate Professor of History at the National University Kyiv Mohyla Academy, where she also founded the Center for Polish and European Studies. She is also a researcher at the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe (Lviv). Her publications focus on the social history of Kyiv during World War I and the Revolution, as well as on regional developments in East Central Europe with a particular focus on Polish-Ukrainian relations. She lectures courses on urban studies, WWI studies, on mental maps of European space, and the history of CEE countries of 1989-2007.
