BIOGRAPHY:

Stella Miller is Rhys Carpenter Professor Emerita in Classical Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College. An alumna of Oberlin College, she holds MA and PhD degrees from Bryn Mawr. Before returning to teach at Bryn Mawr in 1994 she taught at Stanford University and the University of Cincinnati. She has also been a Visiting Professor at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Her many years of excavation experience in Greece and Turkey include the sites of Athens, Corinth, Nemea, and Troy. Her scholarly interests focus on ancient architecture, Greek painting, and Greek jewelry with books and many articles on these topics. She is currently writing on Macedonian tomb paintings.
