BIOGRAPHY:
Barry S. Crawford is Professor of Religious Studies, Emeritus, Washburn University. He received his PhD from Vanderbilt University (1978), was a member of the SBL Ancient Myths and Modern Theories of Christian Origins Consultation and Seminar (1995-2003), and a contributor to the Seminar's first volume of essays, Redescribing Christian Origins (2004). He was Co-Chair, with Chris Matthews, Boston College, of the Seminar's successor program unit on Redescribing Early Christianity (2007-2012), and Co-editor with Merrill Miller, University of North Carolina, Pembroke, of Redescribing the Gospel of Mark (2017).
