BIOGRAPHY:

Pablo Justel holds a International Doctorate (Universidad de Zaragoza and École Normale Supérieure de Lyon), a M.A. in Romance Languages (Université de Montpellier III – Paul Valéry) and a Licenciatura in Filología Hispánica and Filología Francesa (Universidad de Zaragoza). He was previously a Lecturer of Spanish in the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. He specializes in medieval Spanish and French epics. He has edited a monograph about the medieval legend of the Siete infantes de Salas (Cahiers d’études hispaniques médiévales, 2013), and he has recently published two books: Técnica y estética: el “Cantar de mio Cid” y la épica francesa (Vigo: Academia del Hispanismo, 2017) and El sistema formular del “Cantar de mio Cid”: estudio y registro (Potomac, Scripta Humanistica, 2017). His research has appeared in journals such as Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, Vox romanica, Medioevo Romanzo, Revista de literatura medieval, and Revista de poética medieval.
