BIOGRAPHY:
Helen Bradley completed her postgraduate work at Royal Holloway, University of London, in 1992. Her thesis covered the Italian merchant communities in London from 1350 to 1450, their core trading interests and their relationships with English merchants, local parishes, the city’s institutions and the Crown. Having worked in the city for two of its livery companies, she has more recently contributed to wider research projects concerning Italian business practices and cultural influence. Since 2005 she has been Honorary Secretary of the London Record Society, which publishes edited texts of London documents.
