BIOGRAPHY:

Jane H M Taylor is professor emeritus of medieval French at Durham University; she was previously a fellow of St Hilda's College, Oxford. She has worked extensively on late-medieval literature in general and on the lyric in particular: her publications in this latter field include "The Poetry of François Villon: Text and Context" (Cambridge: University Press, 2001), and "The Making of Poetry: Late-Medieval French Poetic Anthologies" (Turnhout: Brepols, 20017). In other fields, she has recently published "Rewriting Arthurian Romance in Renaissance France: From Manuscript to Print" (Cambridge: D. S. Brewer, 2014), and, with Roberta L. Krueger, a translation of Antoine de La Sale's "Petit Jehan de Saintré" (Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 2014).
