BIOGRAPHY:

Gil Rothschild-Elyassi is a PhD student in the Jurisprudence and Social Policy at UC Berkeley, with a designated emphasis in critical theory. He holds an LL.M from New York University and an LL.B. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His work draws on social theory, critical theory, cultural analysis and law and society scholarship to explore penal practice in the age of data analytics as well as non-custodial penal institutions that govern legally estranged communities.
