BIOGRAPHY:
Dr Robin Fletcher is a retired career detective who served with London’s Metropolitan Police Service investigating crimes at every level. He retired with the rank of Detective Superintendent in 2001 and embarked on an academic career, completing his doctoral thesis in 2006. With his knowledge of policing he became a visiting Senior Lecturer to the University of Mauritius (2001 – 2004) and the University of Hamburg (2008 – 2010). He is an independent external examiner at three universities ensuring national standards in policing studies. He was a member of the UK Governments College of Policing’s Education Forum reviewing academic standards for policing recruits. His pedagogic interests include policing issues; organised crime; white collar crime and more recently ‘honour’ violence and domestic homicide.
