Betty S. Travitsky is an Independent Scholar living in New York City. She was a founding member of the Society for the Study of Women in the Renaissance (at the Graduate Center, CUNY), of the Attending to Women Conferences at the University of Maryland, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Renaissance & Baroque Studies at the University of Maryland.
