BIOGRAPHY:
Fran Teague is Meigs Professor and Distinguished University Professor at the University of Georgia, where she holds a joint appointment in the Departments of English and of Theatre and Film Studies. Her research is on Renaissance drama performance history and theory and on early modern women writers. Recent books include Shakespeare and the American Popular Theatre (Cambridge, 2006) and with Margaret Ezell, Educating English Daughters: Bathsua Makin and Mary More (University of Toronto, 2016).
