BIOGRAPHY:
Tim O’Connor has pursued an interest in the savanna, grassland and steppe vegetation of southern Africa for the past 40 years. An emphasis of his work has been vegetation dynamics, including bush encroachment, in response to climate variation or change and management involving herbivory and fire. Another is the maintenance of biodiversity in managed systems. He is currently involved with the South African Environmental Observation Network and holds an honorary position with the University of the Witwatersrand.
