BIOGRAPHY:
My primary field of study is Political Theory and secondary field is Comparative Politics. My Dissertation examines the implications of one of the major characteristics of contemporary thought: the critique or deconstruction of the subject. I am specifically concerned about what happens to the concept of democracy in light of this critique, and whether or not we must abandon it altogether or rethink it. What might democracy look like without its traditional foundation?
