BIOGRAPHY:

Alicia Eads is currently a PhD candidate in Sociology at Cornell University. Her work combines Political, Economic, and Financial Sociology. Her focus is on how institutions and ideas influence economic outcomes, particularly inequality. In one project she analyzes the role of ideas and institutions in shaping the decisions made by regulatory leaders during the 2008 financial crisis. A second project looks at private equity ownership from workers’ perspectives.
