BIOGRAPHY:

Jenny X. Li is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include international migration, internal labor migration, and social demography. She is particularly interested in the family arrangements and incorporation and settlement of immigrants and migrants. Her dissertation will examine and compare patterns of assimilation and transnationalism/translocalism between Chinese immigrants in the United States and rural-to-urban migrants in China.
