BIOGRAPHY:
Swathi Sekar, MPH, received her Masters of Public Health in 2013 from Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. There, she was a student of the Hubert Department of Global Health and concentrated her studies in Public Nutrition. Previously, she completed her BA in Medical Anthropology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Swathi has had the opportunity to work on various projects in India, at rural hospitals, an internationally reputed eye care facility with significant rural outreach, childrens' homes, and with self-help groups. Currently, Swathi lives in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in India, as an American India Foundation Fellow, actively engaged at an NGO called Pudiyador, through the William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service.
