BIOGRAPHY:

Neet Priya Bajwa is a doctoral candidate in the Mathematics Science and Technology (MST) division in department of Curriculum & Instruction, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has worked on a number of projects as a research assistant, including the grants from the U.S. Department of Education (“Developing an Intervention to Foster Early Number Sense and Skill”) and the National Institutes of Health (“Computer-guided Comprehensive Mathematics Assessment for Young Children”) under the guidance of Dr. Arthur J Baroody. Her research focuses on development of early number and arithmetic concepts as well as reasoning strategies to foster meaningful learning of elementary school mathematics. She is also interested in developing interactive game-based applications, and exploring the affordances of the digital platform to enable effective teaching and learning of mathematical concepts.
