BIOGRAPHY:

Dr Julie Reeves is the Researcher Development Coordinator for research staff at the University of Southampton. She has been involved in researcher development for over 14 years, initially as a Visiting Faculty Fellow with the Civic Education Project in Belarus and Ukraine, and then as the Skills Training Manager for the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Manchester. She has contributed chapters to Hinchcliffe, Bromley and Hutchinson eds. (2007) and Kompf and Denicolo eds. (2013), and co-authored ‘Developing Transferable Skills: Enhancing Your Research and Employment Potential’ (2014) with Pam Denicolo. Julie’s academic background is in politics and international relations and she maintains a keen interest in the internationalisation of education. She currently specialises in development design and evaluation in HE, and she was a key contributor to the ‘Researcher Development Statement and Framework’ (RDS and RDF). She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Society for Research into Higher Education, and a co-convenor of the Postgraduate Issues Network (PIN) within the SRHE.
