BIOGRAPHY:

Marie Lockton is a researcher and educator at the University of California, San Diego, where she earned her doctorate in Teaching and Learning. She studies equity-driven educational change efforts in schools and school districts with the goal of assisting leaders and teachers in making meaningful changes to policy and practice. Her work focuses on educator learning and collaboration and on aligning educational contexts to better draw upon the diverse strengths of students and educators. As a teacher, she aims to increase students' agency in their own learning and to promote productive collaboration between and among students and teachers.
