BIOGRAPHY:

Sue Elliott, Ed.D. is a Senior Lecturer and Course Co-ordinator in Early Childhood Education at the University of New England (UNE), New South Wales. She is an experienced practitioner, academic and author in early childhood education with a focus on education for sustainability, outdoor playspaces and nature play. Her edited publications include 'Researching early childhood education for sustainability: Challenging assumptions and orthodoxies' and 'Outdoor learning environments: Spaces for exploration, discovery and risk taking in the early years'. She is currently engaged in research projects focused on nature pedagogy and play in the early years. Sue is a convener of the Special Interest Group (SIG) Sustainability in Early Childhood Education for the European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA) and a convenor of the TransNational Dialogues in Early Childhood Education for Sustainability research group (TND).
