BIOGRAPHY:
Esther Liu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Interaction and Social Influence Program at Northwestern University. Her research interests center on interpersonal communication, interpersonal conflict, conflict avoidance, and family communication and disabilities. Esther Liu has co-authored articles in the International Encyclopedia of Communication and American Journal of Bioethics. Her teaching experiences include teaching interpersonal communication courses for undergraduates, training graduate teaching assistants, and participating in the Northwestern Searle Teaching Certificate Program. Esther holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and Psychology and an M.A. in Communication from Northwestern University. Prior to Northwestern, Esther studied health outcomes and disability ethics as a researcher at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
