BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Javier Ponce is a resident physician at Case Western Reserve University and an affiliated faculty member of the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University. He is a graduate of Cayetano Heredia Medical School in Lima, Peru. His background includes basic neuroscience, neurophysiology, mental health and substance use disorders. His academic research includes healthcare policy and behavioral health research. He is the founder and executive director of the International Center for Advanced Research and Applied Science (INCAAS) which has carried out research in collaboration with the US National Institute on Drug Abuse, the US Naval Medical Research Unit for Latin America (NAMRU-6), The George Washington University, and Oregon Health and Science University.
