Ujithra Ponniah is a PhD research scholar in the Centre for Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has an interdisciplinary training in literature, development studies, sociology and gender studies. Her area of work and interest are caste, political economy of development, gender, business communities and family studies.
