BIOGRAPHY:
Mounia El Kotni is a cultural and medical anthropologist (PhD State University of New York at Albany, SUNY, 2016). Her research focuses on the impacts of maternal health policies on women's healthcare access and traditional midwives' practices in Mexico. As a researcher and a trainer, she has worked on different research projects involving gender, women’s health and human rights in France, the United States, Mexico, and Guatemala.
