BIOGRAPHY:

Renzo Honores is a lawyer with a doctoral degree in History. He has taught Latin American History in the United States and currently teaches law at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in Lima. He is also a researcher at the Instituto Internacional de Derecho y Sociedad in Lima. Renzo Honores has received research awards to conduct research in Spain, Germany, England, Mexico, and Chile. His field of studies is the history of the legal profession and litigation in the Habsburg Andes. His research has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals and books in Europe, Latin America and the United States. Currently, he is finishing up his book on litigation and legal culture in the city of Lima (the provisional tittle is: Legal Polyphony in the Colonial Andes: Professionals, Litigants, and the Legal Culture in the City of Lima, 1538-1640).
