BIOGRAPHY:

Enikő Héja is the head of the Language Technology Research Group in the Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics. Her PhD dissertation in the field of computational linguistics investigates to what extent data-driven natural language processing (NLP) techniques may contribute to the compilation of bilingual dictionaries and the impact these approaches may have on the conception of the translation relation. Her research interest comprises also monolingual lexicography: it focuses on the applicability of the SOTA NLP techniques in the characterization of the dictionaries' macro- and microstructure. With Mas in theoretical linguistics and philosophy, she participated in a wide range of NLP projects which aimed to build lexical resources.
