BIOGRAPHY:

Gábor Prószéky is the director general of the Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics and full professor at the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He holds a PhD in computational linguistics, and he is the Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is co-founder of MorphoLogic, a private Hungarian enterprise dealing solely with language technology applications. Since 1991, European universities, research centers and large IT companies like Microsoft, IBM, Xerox have been their partners in various R&D projects. He has been teaching at various universities, mostly about application of computers in humanities. He is the author of around 200 scientific papers and three books on human language technologies. He has been involved in more than 30 computational linguistics related projects, many of them dealt with computational lexicography.
