BIOGRAPHY:

Ricardo A. Herrera teaches military history at the School of Advanced Military Studies, US Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. A specialist in Early American history and author of several pieces on military history, Herrera was formerly a historian at the Combat Studies Institute, US Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth. A Marquette University PhD, Rick Herrera has also been Director of Honors at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio and chair of the Department of History and Geography at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. Herrera has served as an Armor and Cavalry officer in the US Army.
