BIOGRAPHY:
Caleb Karges is an Assistant Professor of History and Political Thought at Concordia University Irvine, California and a specialist in European warfare in the age of Louis XIV. He received his PhD in Modern History from the University of St Andrews in 2016. His PhD Thesis, “So Perverse an Ally: Great Britain’s Alliance with Austria during the War of the Spanish Succession” was awarded the André Corvisier Prize for PhD Theses in Military History from the International Commission of Military History in 2017. He is also a seminar fellow at the Center for Austrian Studies at the University of Minnesota. He has published works on warfare, diplomacy, strategy, and logistics.
