BIOGRAPHY:

Jans B. Wager is the author of Jazz and Cocktails: Rethinking Race and the Sound of Film Noir (Forthcoming, Texas UP), Dames in the Driver’s Seat: Rereading Film Noir (Texas UP, 2005) and Dangerous Dames: Women and Representation in the Weimar Street Film and Film Noir (Ohio UP, 1999). She published an essay on Ida Lupino for Film Noir: The Directors (Limelight, 2012), and on Richard Roundtree for Hollywood Reborn: Movie Stars of the 1970s (Rutgers UP, 2010). Wager coordinates Cinema Studies and is a professor of English and Literature at Utah Valley University.
