BIOGRAPHY:
Christopher Faulkner is Professor Emeritus and Distinguished Research Professor in the Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. He is the author of a number of books and articles on Jean Renoir and French cinema, including The Social Cinema of Jean Renoir (Princeton University Press, 1986), Jean Renoir: A Conversation with His Films, 1894-1979 (Taschen, 2007) and, with Olivier Curchod, La Règle du jeu: scénario original de Jean Renoir (Nathan, 1999). He is currently at work on an encyclopedic production and reception history of La Règle du jeu.
