BIOGRAPHY:

Michael Behr is Professor of Educational Psychology and Counselling at the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. His research topics are person-centred counselling, psychotherapy with children and adolescents, young people’s emotions and counselling parents. He authored and edited several books, his latest ones are textbooks on ‘Person-centered & Interactive Play Therapy’, and one, co-authored with G. Aich, on ‘Parent-Teacher-Conferences’. He has held visiting positions at the University of Vienna, the University of Antwerp, the University of Gent, Strathclyde University Glasgow, University of Freibug and the University of Stuttgart. He is the course director for Early Childhood Education and the director of the person-centred play therapy training course in Schwäbisch Gmünd. He co-founded the Stuttgart Institute for Person-Centred Therapy and Counselling, where he works as a therapist, supervisor and facilitator and as a legally approved psychological psychotherapist.
