BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Courtney Plante is a social psychologist whose work primarily focuses on the impact of fan, fantasy, and media activities on self and identity processes. Recently, his interests have included the role of immersion in media effects and have included a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Craig Anderson wherein he worked to conceptually disambiguate the process of immersion into media. He is currently an instructor at MacEwan University.
