BIOGRAPHY:

Alysse M. Moldawer is a Ph.D. candidate in Evolutionary Anthropology at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she is an affiliate of the Rutgers Center for Human and Evolutionary Studies. She holds a B.S. in Evolutionary Anthropology, and has conducted field primatology research in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Indonesia. Alysse’s dissertation research takes place in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, where she examines orangutan physiology, behavior, and the political ecology of orangutan health. Her interdisciplinary research uses multispecies ethnography to understand the co-production of knowledge by wild orangutans and diverse groups of people at an active orangutan research station.
