BIOGRAPHY:

Henrietta L. Wiley earned her Ph. D. in Hebrew Bible at Harvard University, and now holds the position of Associate Professor of Sacred Scripture at Notre Dame of Maryland University. She has published on topics in ancient Israelite sacrifice, ritual warfare, and religious experience, and lectures more broadly on ancient Near Eastern religion as well. Dr. Wiley serves as president of the Anglican Association of Biblical Scholars and program unit chair for the Sacrifice Cult and Atonement section of the Society of Biblical Literature. She is also an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Maryland.
