BIOGRAPHY:

Merry Fitzpatrick has worked in humanitarian assistance for the past 18 years with several different humanitarian agencies and as an independent consultant, designing, implementing and advising humanitarian responses with a focus on food security and livelihoods. During this time she has responded to both man-made and natural disasters in Africa, Asia and Latin America, ranging from conflict to flood, drought, earthquakes and cyclones. She holds an MBA in International Development from Hope International University and an MSc in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition from the Friedman School of Nutrition Policy and Science at Tufts University. Merry is currently a PhD candidate at Tufts while simultaneously supervising a livelihoods program for the International Rescue Committee in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
