BIOGRAPHY:

Arup Varma is Professor and the Frank W Considine Chair in Applied Ethics at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago (USA). He holds a PhD from Rutgers University, New Jersey (USA), a PGDPM in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur (India), and a BSc (Hons) from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata (India). Arup’s research interests include performance appraisal, expatriate issues, and HRM issues in India. He has published over 100 articles in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Human Resource Management (USA), Human Resource Management Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of World Business, Personnel Psychology, and Tourism Management Perspectives, etc. He has also co-edited 8 books including such titles as Performance Management Systems: A Global Perspective – 2nd Ed. (2023), Global HRM Series, London: Routledge (co-editors P. Budhwar & A. DeNisi), and Performance Management: An Experiential Approach (2020), Sage, ISBN-13: 978-1473975743 (co-editor P. Budhwar).
