BIOGRAPHY:

Sandra I. Enríquez is currently a history PhD Candidate at the University of Houston. Her dissertation research focuses on Chicana/o urban history and community activism in El Paso, Texas. She holds a B.A. in history with a minor in Spanish (2009) and a M.A. in U.S.-México border history (2011) from the University of Texas at El Paso. Enríquez has been the recipient of a number of awards and fellowships including the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Dissertation Completion Fellowship at the University of Houston. She has also collaborated in various projects such as the Civil Rights in Black and Brown Oral History Project at Texas Christian University.
