BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Pablo Gonzalez is a lecturer in Chicana/o Studies and Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley. He received his PhD in Anthropology at the University of Texas at Austin with an emphasis on Borderlands Anthropology. His specializations include the US/Mexico Borderlands, Transnational Social Movements, and Urban Ethnography. His main research looks at the political and cultural resonance of Zapatista indigenous communities in Mexico on Chicana/o and Latinx communities in the United States. His current research looks at the impact home foreclosures have on Latinx families in the Greater Bay Area in California.
