BIOGRAPHY:
Yin-Wong Cheung is Hung Hing Ying Chair Professor of International Economics, City University of Hong Kong. Concurrently, Cheung is professor emeritus of the University of California, Santa Cruz, Director of Global Research Unit, a founding member of the Methods in International Finance Network, a member of the Council of Advisers, HKIMR/HKMA, a member of the Currency Board Sub Committee of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, a part-time Research Fellow of Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition, and a Research Fellow of the CESifo. He obtained his Bachelor, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees, respectively, from the University of Hong Kong, the University of Essex, and the University of Pennsylvania. His areas of research include (applied) econometrics, exchange rate dynamics, asset pricing, output fluctuation, and economic issues of Asian Economies. He coauthored and coedited several books, published over 100 refereed articles, and is enlisted in The America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, the Academic Keys Who's Who in Social Sciences Higher Education, Who’s Who in Economics, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in the World.
