Editor in Chief
Ruth Scodel, educated at Berkeley and Harvard, is D. R. Shackleton Bailey Professor of Greek and Latin emerita at the University of Michigan. Her books include Credible Impossibilities: Conventions and Strategies of Verisimilitude in Homer and Greek Tragedy (1999), Listening to Homer (2002), Epic Facework: Self-presentation and Social Interaction in Homer (2008), (with Anja Bettenworth) Whither Quo Vadis? Sienkiewicz’s Novel in Film and Television, and Greek Tragedy: an Introduction (2010). She is working on a monograph about Theory of Mind and attribution in archaic and classical Greek literature.
